How to store, slice, and savor your luxurious shortbread creations

Follow these steps to ensure every bite is as fabulous as the first!

Freeze & savor later:

  • Your shortbread may be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks or frozen for up to 6 months.
  • Store it in an airtight container to maintain that perfect texture.
  • Make sure to bring frozen shortbreads back to room temperature prior to slicing.

Best served:

Always serve your shortbread at room temperature for the ultimate experience, and never cut your shortbread cold—it's all about that room temp magic!

Prep:

  • All shortbreads should be sliced at room temperature.
  • For chocolate-topped shortbreads, we recommend very lightly chilling for 5-8 minutes in the freezer and removing it from the tin cold to keep that rich chocolate topping intact. Then bring to room temperature to slice.

Tin talk:

For easy slicing and serving, we recommend removing your shortbread from the tin.

Loosen up:

To do so, first take a knife or an offset spatula to score around the edge of the tin to separate the shortbread and filling from the edges of the tin.

Pop & slice:

Gently expand the corners of the tin and pop out the shortbread.

Slice right:

  • On a flat surface, while using a cutting board, use a sharp knife and slowly slice your shortbread.
  • Each shortbread tray can serve 8 regular slices or 16+ bite-sized pieces.

Serve and enjoy!
